The team started in 1994. Formed as a group of friends having fun. The team entered the Greater London Softball Mixed League in 1995 in Division 5. The next year we were promoted to Division 4. In 1998 Diamonds won Division 4 outright, winning all their games. and were promoted to Division 3. 2000 was an excellent development year, forming 2 Diamonds teams, in Division 3 and 4. 2001 was the club building on development, Diamonds1 becoming Champions of Division 3 and Diamonds 2 coming 3rd in Division 4.
We held our first tournament at Mill Hill Sports Club in 1998. This is now an annual fixture on the mixed softball Calendar. This season's tournament saw 8 teams from Divisions 3 and 4 of the GLSML having a fun day.
Diamonds 1 will be in Division 2 (Competition Level) for the 2002 season. Following the excellent consolidation in Division 4, we hope to second team can win promotion next season.
